A cracked windscreen on their 737 meant they had to swap planes at Bournemouth where the charter company was based. There are reports that an object hit the windscreen causing the crack and below Ceri Stennett says it was a heater malfunction. Either way the passangers are safe and are today preapring for the open Euro 2008 qualifier in Teplice tomorrow.

Speaking about the incident John Toshack said

"I wasn't really aware of what was happening, so I wasn't worried.

"I've never had anything like this happen to me before in all my years travelling in football."

FAW press officer Ceri Stennett said, "There was a malfunction with the heater that stops the windscreen from icing up, with the result that the windscreen cracked.

"In all honesty, we knew there was a problem, but the pilot carried out normal procedures. We had to look for the nearest airport to land, which was Bournemouth.

"Everybody was kept informed and it was question of dropping the plane to a lower altitude to take us to the nearest airport that could accommodate us.

Added Stennett, "There is no reason why this should hamper our preparations for the match.

"We arrived a couple of hours late, but we will be back on track by the morning."
