Wales U21 4 - 2 France U21

Evans had given Wales a half time lead at a rain soaked Ninian Park.

France came back in the second half to move ahead 2 - 1 with less than 15 mins to play but the Welsh lads poured forward and thanks to a Mark Bradley goal after the French keeper spilled a Jacobson free kick and two Ched Evans penalties Wales emerged victorious.

It was quite a night with the game delayed because of a floodlight failure and the torrential rain. Wales skipper Craig Bellamy watched from the stands as did Cardifff City manager Dave Jones.

"There were some good individual performances, but this was an all-round team display," said manager Brian Flynn.

"But that's what we've been working on this week and the display didn't surprise me, although I'm certainly delighted with it.

"What you have to realise is this is a very good bunch of young players. They did extremely well because France worked very hard to stop us playing."
