Wales U21 v England U21 1st leg

Last updated : 10 October 2008 By Wales Reporter
This is the first of two legs, the second at Villa Park next Tuesday, with the winners on aggregate progressing to the Euro U21 finals in sweden next summer.

Wales' youngsters under Brian Flynn face two huge games against the English. Flynn is hoping that his choice of Ninian Park for the venue will work in his side's favour.

"This is a big game for us and the boys can handle it, I do not believe they will freeze," said Flynn.

"I know the boys well and I am sure they won't freeze on the night against some big names in the England squad.

"I have always said they are a close-knit bunch, so playing at Ninian Park will excite them rather than make them on edge on the night."

Emgland are managed by Staurt Pearce and he brings his squad with several regular Premier League players.
