The FAW has confiremed the game will be played.

Georgia were determined for the match on Wednesday, August 20 to be played, to prove to FIFA they remain able to function as a football authority despite the recent conflict with Russia over the breakaway region of South Ossetia.

They initially had a problem obtaining visas to enter the United Kingdom, with the British embassy in Tbilisi shut indefinitely.

However the Georgia-based members of the national side travelled to Azerbaijan to collect visas and the FAW have been advised by the Georgian Football Federation that they will send their national team for the match at the Liberty Stadium in Swansea.
