Wales v Slovakia

Last updated : 06 October 2006 By Wales Reporter
Wales face Slovakia in Cardiff tomorrow in the first of a home double header. It's crucial that Wales pick up maximum points, you feel that anything less will rule the Welsh out of the reckonig for a qualifying place. Already Germany and the Czech Republic have a six point advantage over the Welsh, they have of course both played one game more.

It was going to be hard enough for Wales but failure in front of their home support would be a major blow to any hopes of qualification.

The general feeling is that Toshack will play

Paul Jones, Duffy, Nyatanga, Gabbidon, Edwards, Bale, Robinson, Koumas, Davies, Bellamy (c) and Earnshaw.

The Cardiff City duo of Joe Ledley and Paul Parry look like starting on the bench.
