Wales looked well on their way to securing their first win in ten games after Savage's clever free kick put striker Rob Earnshaw through to open the scoring but after Poland equalised the side went to pieces, eventually going down 3-2 at the Millenium Stadium.
"In the first half we could have been two up," the Birmingham midfielder said after the game.
"But we scored one goal and just went to pieces, the first goal was a poor piece of play, the second deflated us and the third just topped it off.
"But it's happened and we've just got to get on with it."
