Mark Hughes has pulld off a coup, landing Wales international Craig Bellamy for his club Blackburn Rovers despite interest from Celtic, Everton and Aston Villa.

Bellamy has signed a four-year deal with Rovers, who will have to pay an undisclosed fee, which is expected to be paid in installments.

Hughes has been chasing Bellamy since he fell out with Newcastle United boss Graeme Souness at the beginning of the year, however, Bellamy spent the second half of last season on loan at Celtic where he impressed in the SPL.

While Bellamy has yet to comment on his move, the fact that former Wales boss Hughes knows Bellamy well from their international games and countryman Robbie Savage is at the club, is no doubt a major factor in the 25-year old's move to Lancashire.
