Cardiff City are set to confirm the signing of former Scotland Under-21 captain Jamie McCunnie in the next 24 hours.
McCunnie has been in Cardiff training with the Bluebirds for the last 10 days so both sides can assess each other according to a local paper, and it seems McCunnie's signing is imminent.
McCunnie is expected to be in the Cardiff squad that travels to Accrington Stanley tomorrow for Cardiff's first pre-season game.
The 22-year old recently said: "I enjoyed my time at Ross but for the sake of my career I have got to move up the league,' he said recently.
"If I am to make the next step then I have to be playing in the SPL or in a decent division down in England.
"I have to be playing where there is a better standard of football and do well there as players from the First Division don't get picked at international level."
McCunnie joined Scottish Division One side Ross County from Scottish Premier League team Dundee United in June 2003 where he had began his career as a trainee, starting out as a right-back before being tried out in other roles, including midfield.
