Cardiff City fans are being urged to get together and stand behind their club despite losing three key players in the space of a week, sparking a season-ticket rebellion by some supporters.
The Bluebirds face a tough season in the Championship after selling Danny Gabbidon, James Collins and top scorer last season Peter Thorne as they look to slash their crippling wage bill and generate revenue to allow new boss Dave Jones to make new signings.
Cardiff were on the brink of a relegation battle last season as they struggled in front of goal, and many fans fear the same again this season, even more so following the trio's departure.
Despite the rebellion, other fans are urging their fellow supporters: "This is the time to stick together."
Supporters Club spokesman Vince Alm said: "We are all frustrated, but to make a personal stand against the club is outrageous. Now is the time to get behind the team. I'm disappointed by these fans."
A long-time Bluebirds fan said: "I'm a Bluebird through and through and this has really hit me hard. But we have got to move on. The main thing is that the club is a survivor."
Another supporter said: "I'm a Bluebird through and through, and this week has really hit me hard. There are possibly tougher times ahead, but this club is its fans. We will get through this together."
Meanwhile executive deputy chairman Peter Ridsdale has assured the worried fans that their club has a bright future despite the departure of Wales internationals Gabbidon and Collins.
He said: "We have stated since the end of last season that there was a requirement to reduce the wage bill and that we needed to raise money to ensure we could repay monies owed to the Inland Revenue and other smaller creditors."
