Cardiff City manager Dave Jones has taken his total of new Cardiff City signings to four after completing the transfer of Neil Cox from Watford.

Cox joins fellow new recruits Jeff Whitley, Glen Loovens and Jamie McCunnie at Ninian Park this week.

Cardiff City's Neale Ardley, a friend and former team mate of Cox, helped seal the deal to take Cox from London to south Wales.

"The first I knew was when Neale rang me and it's gone through quickly," said the experienced defender

"I'm experienced and part of my role is to help the younger players," he added.

"The manager will get some more senior players in and that is the right way for us.

"My expectation is for the team to do well this season."

Confirmations have only come out of Ninian Park for Whitley (from Sunderland) and Cox while deals for Feyernoord's Loovens and Ross County's McCunnie are expected to be announced soon.
