Tudor-Jones signs one-year deal with Swans

Swansea City have rewarded Welsh midfielder Owain Tudor-Jones a one-year contract, just days after signing the 20-year-old on a one-month deal.

Tudor-Jones impressed in south Wales while on trial from Welsh Premier League side Bangor City.

And with his impressive performances in pre-season interesting rivals Kenny Jackett was keen to sign the midfielder on a longer deal.

"We'd settled on a month with Owain to begin with, but then Swindon and Tranmere made enquiries," said Jackett.

"That made the situation a little different, and it was after Owain's display in the game at Forest Green Rovers on Tuesday that I was convinced I wanted to sign him up for the year."

"Every week Owain has been wth us he has improved and, at 20, I think he will keep on gtting btter now he's training full time."

Bangor City, the club, Tudor-Jones left to head to Swansea will benefit from the deal in some way with Jackett set to contact the north Wales club to see if they could agree some reward for Tudor-Jones' development believed to be a friendly match at the New Stadium.
