The League in the past has rejected the idea, and it is believed the idea will also be rejected next month.
Premier League secretary John Deakin confirmed: "During next month's meeting summer football will be the number one topic.
Plans are underway to much improve the state and standard of the Welsh domestic game in the coming years and while summer football is unlikely, an earlier kick off to the new campaign is likely.
There are also plans for widescale improvement on the stadia in Wales as well as a new U21 League which some clubs entering teams into this season.
A regular follower of Welsh domestic football, Charles Williams, said: "It's good to see the FAW and the WPL doing something to improve the game. The funding and interest in the game in Wales is poor to say the least and has long needed improvement.
"Football supporters don't want to go to a Welsh Premier game when they could be watching a big English game at one of their many fantastic stadia, or down the pub with friends watching on satellite.
Welsh football will never be huge by any means, but channelling money in the right areas of the sport and marketing in the right way could do wonders for our country's teams."
Summer football in Wales?
Welsh Premier League clubs are set to decide on whether to switch their football season from the traditional August - May season to a summer season similar to that which already takes place in Ireland.
