The camera's then picked Mr Savage out and beamed his face onto the big screens to rapturous applause.
“I was so embarrassed. I'm a dad and happily married," Savage told The Sun.
“I knew Robbie was up to something before the show but I still can't believe he did it in front of all those people.
“I'll get my own back.”
Meanwhile Savage has aid he is happy at Blackburn. He has been linked to interest from Wigan Athletic but Savage said
"I am more than happy at Blackburn.
"I knew when I left Birmingham this was the right club for me and nothing has changed.
"It was very flattering for me they (Wigan) showed an interest, but there's a UEFA Cup season ahead and I'm very much looking forward to it."
